Stardew Valley is the game that was inspired heavily by the Harvest Moon and it is a video games series with the additions from the sole creator of the game called Eric Barone so that he can address the shortcoming found within the first game while he uses the same opportunity like exercising in improving own programming and the game design skills. Barone worked on the title for over four years and he was interacting with the players who were interested in the game so that he can get feedback.
Stardew Valley is a game that was inspired by Harvest Moon game series and it is farming simulation video game. At the beginning of the game, the player decides on the character and he receives a plot and a small house that was owned by his grandfather before in the area known as Stardew Valley. At the beginning, the plot is full of weeds, trees and boulders so the player has to work hard to clear these fields and to restart the farming activities like tending to the crops and to the livestock to make money. The money is used to expand the facilities and the buildings of the farm. The player can interact with the non player characters in the game who lives in this town and they can engage into the relationship with such characters. It can culminate to the marriage and this result in NPCs that helps the character to work on his farm. The player may engage himself into crafting, cooking and fishing while he is able to explore different quests for earning additional money or to work on finishing a certain activity for materials that are offered in the community center in the town in order to get even more rewards. Any activities undertaken have to be measured through the current health with the exhaustion level of a player together with internal clock of the game. When the character is exhausted, it will be returned to the house so that he can restore the energy the following day but this means that he has lost the opportunities of doing the activities that were available in the first day. When the player loses his health, he will also lose the energy and some items and amount of the money. The game has a simplified calendar and every year has 28 day months and he represents every season and it determines the type the crops that has to be grown and the activities that may be more beneficial. However, no deadline offered in order to complete such game.
The game is for any person who is interested in going away of the open-plan and loud office to a quiet farm even if it is in a pixilated form. The game looks like the Harvest Moon game and you need to get the farm up and also running through making a patch of the land you are given more usable. You have to plant, to tend and to sell the crops in order to get the income. You can start up with some parsnips and they can turn into a steady supply of the potatoes and beans while after sometime you may star to sell mayonnaise and eggs. You may get more money when you go into the forest to get leeks and berries to sell or you may go fishing. When you play, you will be consuming the energy so you have to keep the eye on the work that you do and you may risk to collapse because of the exhaustion when you are not careful.
You will be living near a town where you may befriend or sell to its residents. When you are frisky, you can woo them through giving them the gifts. Contrary to the Harvest Moon where the local town is filled with the idiots and tropes, the Stardew Valley has the residents that look like they are living in the place. Every person is eccentric when it comes to live in this isolated and small place and there are these who are unable to escape because they are depressed.
As the time passes this world will start to open up, while the bridges will be mended and they will be revealing a new place that have to be explored. After being given the sword, you may have to enter into the place where monsters are full and this means that you are able to gather the crafting metals and the monster parts that you have to sell. Afterwards, you may get a crafting tab at the menu and you may craft the customized options.
Found between the map and the stats page, the crafting is among the fun elements of the game that you can explore. Using the best materials, you are able to make the objects like the scarecrows and fence posts and to put them in the lot. The customization of the farm is a joy. The lopsided hoeing and patchy groundwork can be turned in the professional looking garden through adding the stone border with the path. When at the end you built the coop and a free area for the free range chickens so that they can roam around, then the entire thing will start to come together.
While working on your farm, you will be earning the skills and the experience needed to go to a new level but the leveling will not make any noticeable difference on your own proficiency. Through upgrading the tools, such layer may be unnecessary.
