Duskers game is a familiar game but it is interesting to know how to play this game. The player has to scavenge in the game using the drones. The game was developed by Misfits Attic and it was released in 2016. In the game, the player has to pilot the drones so that it can reach a derelict spaceship where it can find the means of surviving and where it can put together how the universe had became a large graveyard.
You play as a drone operator and you are surrounded by the gritty tech which acts like the only ears and eyes you have at the outside world. What you hear is what comes from the remote microphone and what you get to see is what any drone sees into the world. The Motion sensor will tell you that there is something outside but you will not know what it is. When you make the commands, you are able to do it using the command line interface.
You need to earn anything you get in the Duskers. You have to scavenge the drones, the upgrades and to get ship upgrades. However, you have to deal with the dangerous creatures which may lurk in such derelict ships with the weapons that are rare. To win, you should learn about the clever way that you may explore the outpost by the use of the motion sensor with a lure.
But even when you find the way, a sensor that you may rely on can break down or you can run out of the lures while the camera feed of the drone may also begin to fail. The favorite strategy may be exploited for a long period and this means that you should adapt for everything you do.
Duskers is the game that it is set in the procedural universe and if you die, you will lose everything you have. Your concern is more than just worrying about the hazards that wait for you since you will also have to worry about running out of the fuel and the parts needed in modifying the ship and the drones. You will be alone, isolated in a dark and isolated place and by sifting through in the logs of the ship, you can stay un-corrupted and you will be able to piece together what is happening.
To play Duskers, you should use consoles in order to control the ship and the drones system. You may explore the procedural generated derelict universe and ship. You are able to upgrade or modify the drones using salvage that you find in the way. When you discover the ship logs, you should piece together what it happening.
The best part to play Duskers is the survival strategy which is rogue like and it is in which you are able to pilot the drones using the derelict spaceship that are procedural generated. It is fun and also satisfying when the things start to go in your way but someone your plans may hit an airlock and if the plans that you have may fall apart and this means that you will need to think faster since the successful mission will turn into the scrambling and harrowing nightmare.
When you start to play, you get the fuel of few days with three drones together with the news that say that there is a catastrophe that hits the universe and you may be the only survivor. You dock the ship you have and send some drones to see what it is happening. They should scavenge the fuel, scrap the metals and explore the city. From the corrupted ship log, you can repair and also add them in the fleet you own. You use arrow keys to steer the console in entering different commands. The drones come with the slot for over three models and they give them many abilities. A gather model helps the drone to get the fuel and scrap and a generator module supplies the power to the doors. The game traps and droppable lures, scanning beacons, mounted turrets, shield and motion sensors with a tow module used to drag the disabled drones or to add the upgrades back in the dropship. You may swap the modules of the drones before you go into a mission or you can provide the drones which are adjacent from one to another.
Normally, you will not be alone since the enemies will be lurking behind the ships that you are visiting. They may be the automated ship defenses, the swam of the small robots, and biological infestation or horrifying fast moving entity that can disable the drones and can split them in matter of few seconds. There are times that they can be above you and you will not be aware of what it is happening until the time you have to face them. The doors and airlocks of the ship may be opened or closed by the use of simple console commands as far as they are being powered by the generator. The game requires a number of the strategic challenges; it can be to keep the walls and the closed doors that are found between your enemies and the drones that you had been able to detect, luring or herding these dangerous entities on the ship or to trap them in one room using the airlock. You can then open them in order to suck them in the space.
The Duskers has the sounds that may seem stellar. They are groans and the creaks of a hull of the ship, a distant clunking and clanking which may be only machinery or it can be something even worse. There are the distinct beeps or whirs of different drones and most of them are these that are muted which satisfy the thunder of the sentry guns that fire on the alien life forms found in a new part of a ship after the defenses have been enabled or hacked. With only the grid-like map view of ship with a flickering and grainy footage of what it is in the vicinity of drones, the duskers will have the unsettling and eerie lo-fi look but it will come alive truly within the headphones.
How to start
When you start to play Duskers, there are many things that you should learn about. It is important to learn what it is needed to make you to stand up and to run at once. When you open the game, you are going to be given a navigation view. At the right side of a screen, you will see the current ship you have and the station or ship where you are found. At your left, you are going to see many symbols and each one of them is to represent a new ship that you may decide to visit when you want to. You are able to choose them if you press at a keyboard button that it is found below them or if you use arrow keys.
The propulsion fuel is used to show how far your ship is able to travel in your current system with the common number is a standard tank that can refill while jumping within the system while the reserve tank is a number that follows it. The ship uses first the fuel found in a standard tank and afterwards, it will use the one found in a reserve tank. It is important to have the right level of fuel to use so that you can visit the locations you want to visit using only one system so you have to plan in well.
Jump Cores is used to indicate the number of the times that you may jump to reach to a new system within the galaxy you are in. When you jump, you do recharge standard propulsion for fuel tanks and it is will go back to 6 however, it will not affect the reserve tank. While exploring the rooms, you can see scavangables and they are like the one that are found at the right. A yellow chamfered triangle had been a piece of the scarp and it is required in repairing a drone and to reach to the upgrades from the autotraders. The Blue and White square is the ship upgrade. They are found in fixed, normal or even destroyed state. A normal state may be towed back to be in the docking ship by the use of drone number 3. A fixed version will work well but it will not be towed away.
